Our Goal
R3 contains data from the regions of Halton, Peel, Simcoe, Toronto, and York. The database is considered essential in supporting quality improvement, observational studies, as a foundation for clinical trials, and to measure the impact of education, government, and community efforts.

Our Database
Data are collected from ambulance call reports, fire service reports, dispatch data, and administrative datasets. Not all data from these sources are added to the database. Only approved datapoints are collected. For more information on the approval process, please see the Governance page.
Post Resuscitation
R3DB looks at data from out-of-hospital cardiac arrests after they have occurred. This means that R3 did not have any influence on the care you or your family member received. One of the aims of R3 is to look at how care is currently given and guide improvements where possible.
