Research Projects
Current R3 Projects:

CanROC – The Canadian Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium
CanROC is a network of emergency services, academic institutions and health organizations working together. By participating in CanROC each member organization gains access to a large network of like-minded professionals that can collaborate to share best practices across Canada to improve resuscitative care as an entire country. CanROC is also home to the national out-of-hospital cardiac arrest registry measuring the impact of educational and government and community advocacy efforts. A sub-set of R3 data is transferred to CanROC to gain perspective from national studies and to compare local efforts to current national activities.

EpiDOSE – Epinephrine Dose: Optimal versus Standard Evaluation Trial
A pivotal clinical trial comparing the usual dose of epinephrine to a lower dose during the treatment of adults experiencing an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. A sub-set of R3 data contributes to EpiDOSE since many of the datapoints of interest overlap.

Past R3 Projects:

C-SCAN – Canadian Sudden Cardiac Arrest Network
A project to measure the disease burden of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) and enable the prediction and prevention of these events by identifying key symptoms, risk factors, and triggers. A sub-set of R3 data contributed to C-SCAN since many of the datapoints of interest overlapped.
